Terms of Service for Attachment Hippo

1. Introduction

Welcome to Attachment Hippo ("we," "our," or "us"). By installing and using our Google Workspace Add-on, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

2. Service Description

Attachment Hippo is a Google Workspace Add-on that automatically saves email attachments to specified Google Drive folders based on user-defined rules. The service operates entirely within the Google Workspace infrastructure.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using Attachment Hippo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

4. User Eligibility

Attachment Hippo is available to users with a valid Google Workspace account. There are no age restrictions for using the Service, but you must have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

5. Service Terms

5.1 Service Plans and Pricing

Attachment Hippo offers both free and paid subscription options. The Service includes a free plan with basic features, as well as paid subscription plans that provide additional functionality and increased usage limits.

All paid subscriptions are processed and managed through Paddle, our merchant of record.

5.2 Modifications to Service, Plans, and Pricing

We reserve the right to modify the Service, subscription plans, features, or pricing at any time. Current paid subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price increases that affect their current subscription. We will notify you of other material changes in accordance with Section 13 (Changes to Terms).

Such changes do not entitle you to a refund. See our Refund Policy for details on when refunds are available.

6. Subscription Cancellations

6.1 How to Cancel

To properly cancel your subscription and stop future billing, use one of these methods:

• Paddle Billing Portal: Access your subscription management portal through the link in your subscription confirmation email or payment receipts
• Paddle Support: Contact Paddle support at https://paddle.net/ with your cancellation request

Recommended: Use the Paddle billing portal for immediate cancellation confirmation.

6.2 Effect of Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription:

• You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
• No further charges will be made after the current billing period ends
• Your account will automatically revert to the Free plan when the paid period expires
• Your rules and settings will be preserved, subject to Free plan limitations
• No refund will be issued for the remaining time in your billing period (see our Refund Policy for exceptions)

6.3 Auto-Renewal

All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period. You will be charged the then-current rate for your plan.

Important: To avoid automatic renewal, you must cancel your subscription at least 48 hours before your current billing period ends. Cancellation must be done through proper channels (Section 6.1). Uninstalling the add-on alone will not prevent renewal charges.

6.4 Plan Changes

If you want to move to another subscription plan, you need to cancel your current subscription and wait until the end of the paid period. Once your current subscription expires, you can then purchase the new plan. No refund will be issued for the unused portion of your current subscription period (see our Refund Policy for details).

7. Limitations of Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

8. User Data and Privacy

8.1 Data Collection and Analysis

To improve and optimize the Service, we collect and analyze:

• User-defined rules and preferences
• Email sender information as specified in rules
• Processing logs and performance metrics
• Message IDs of processed emails
• Usage patterns and feature interaction data
• Error reports and system performance data
• Service configuration and settings
• Aggregate statistics about rule effectiveness and attachment processing

This data helps us understand how users interact with the Service, identify areas for improvement, and optimize performance. We may adjust our data collection practices as we continue to enhance the Service.

8.2 Data Processing

All data processing occurs within the Google Workspace infrastructure and complies with Google's security standards.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

Attachment Hippo and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Attachment Hippo and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes will constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.
